Defense adjusting LB's to the side of the single back

That sounds like exactly what the option is suppose to do, make the D play assignment football. I would trade the BLB staying at home and being out of pursuit with faking him out. You could also take advantage of him by following the rb after the fake on a qb iso. The backside LB is also accounted for in the blocking for zone read.

Right on with the statement about the combos when facing zone blocking. Zone blocking (vertical push)
calls for what, " pushing the DLM right into the laps of the 2nd level defenders" "dont chase LB's" "don't come off the combo until you reach the LB's" but if a LB is MOVING he is going to present a target that is much harder to block than a stationary one. It's true, he is going to close the gap to the OLM quicker and some will say that fact alone will make him easier to block. My reaction to that is: on PAPER that may be sound, but on the FIELD most LB's are much more athletic than OLM's and in my book that makes a whole lot of sense that they can shed the OLM coming off a double team more than the OLM is going to win that battle on the HS level. Just my opinion.
