Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We have our SE read the Corner if the corner goes deep third and bails then we have them run a 10 yard out. If the corner plays flats then we have them run a flag/corner. We have been very successful with this route reading in our waggle game. We have made a majority of our completions to our SE because of their read progression of the corner. Our QB reads FS to Corner, if they finish their sweep fake and the SE is open right away then they throw right away. It makes it a better play when we read the corner, instead of just telling them to run a flag, corner, or streak every play. The read usually is not hard to learn. The corners will give it away with a turn and bail to deep 1/3 or press and stay on flats. Man to man is up to the SE, if he can beat the corner run him, if not run him hard and cut at 10 yards out. Good luck.
This is what we have done in the past. I just wondered of that is what anyone else is doing. I think you can coach the SE to learn to read that. At times, I think you can make this read pre-snap.
