I played Db and RB in high school and DB in college. I've always been more of a defensive guy. I just like the idea of being the hammer rather than the nail. Never been big on glory, just on getting the job done. It definitely affects how I feel about coaching too. I want everyone to be physical, offesively and defensively. I even want my skinny, towel and glove wearing, run around and try to look pretty WRs to be physical. (Sorry, my DB self shone through there.) Defensively, I'm all about hitting and being aggressive. Offensively, I'm a run first combined with play action and vertical passing game. I love the TE in short yardage and red zone plays. It's my defensive philosophy of being physical and aggressive carrying over to my offensive self. Physical in the run game, aggressive in the pass game. And if I were to ever call an offense, I would be looking at it from a defensive slant, using my knowledge of defense and where the weaknesses are in a defense and attacking those. I love the debates I have with my older brother, who is all about spreading people out and throwing the ball all over the place. He's an offensive guy but understands defense through an offensive eye. It's fun. Very interesting topic and good thread.
