I asked this on the speed thread also, but thought I'd add it to the strength thread as well. How many of you run an SAQ workout? Do you do it the same day as your weight lifting or on the days off from weight lifting? How many days a week do you do SAQ training? I'm looking into getting this started soon. My spring sports players will be ending there seasons and the summer is coming. I would like to implement this training for the end of the school year and during the summer. I'm looking for a good routine, if anyone has one.
Thanks,

this is what we have done: 1. we lift 3 days per week 2. days we don't lift then we do abs/lower back, plyo, speed drills, and sprints ( 2 days per week ) 3. in the summer, we do everything everyday for 4 days per week, 1 time a day. we just cut the time frame down that we do each one. basically our summer workout last about 1.5 hours.
Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my GUNS!!!
We have used a work out from SAQ ATTACK for 3 summers and have outstanding results. When we ordered out gear they sent a training tape and suggested workout. It is 3 times a week for six weeks. With stretching it runs about 35-45 mintes. We also lift 3 times a week on the same days. 1 group on field one in WR and rotate.
