This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am new to the arena of option football. However, I am intrigued by it and feel that we have excellent personnel for it. I want to run the load and speed. My question is blocking from WR. On speed, it seems natural to have my Wr block the corner. Now, on load, I would like to have my WR crack and we extend the option key to the corner. Is this sound? TIPS? Concerns? Thoughts?
No, because if you face a front with a true outside linebacker, you will be two defenders to stop the option. You have 2 to defend 2. That's not a good play. Stalk or runoff the corner and you'll be fine.

If we put the outside receiver on the free safety and the fullback on the corner we use the alert word switch with 18 load. This creates a tunnel for the tailback to run through. Coach Campbell
