Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
All you have to do is click on any option thread, even if it is a todays post and all the posts on that topic are still usually right there. Are you referring to the POINT METHOD with your terminology "no mesh mesh"? If so, I have posted volumes on that topic and as recently as a day or so ago CYFL COACH drew up a page from my previous posts on the topic for another coach. Just check the topic: "installing the option from under center" and start scrolling down until you come to the thread. Hope this helps you. If not, call me at 864-958-5945 and I will be more than happy to help you in any way I can. Call anytime up until 10 PM.

Here is a very basic breakdown of the pro's and con's of Ride/Decide vs Point Technique. I have learned this from reading info posted by Tiger One.
MESH
Pro’s
-ride creates deception
Con’s
-ride can cause QB to bubble his path which allows penetration by the defense to mess up the play
-ride between QB and diveback has a tendency to result in the ball laying on the ground (fumbles)
-Simply put the ride can be very difficult for QB and Divebacks to master
NO MESH
Pro’s
-Easier to teach than the ride
-cuts down on fumbles
-allows QB to immediately run down hill which can negate any penetration by the defense
IT IS NOT THE RIDE AND DECIDE THAT CAUSES THE qb'S PATH TO GET BUBBLED, IT IS THE FACT THAT THE qb OPENS AT 3 O CLOCK AND COMES DOWN THE LOS PARALLEL INSTEAD OF DEEP STEPPING AT 6 O CLOCK ,GATHERING HIS FRONT FOOT TO HIS BACK ON RHYTHM AND DRIVING IMMEDIATELY DOWN HILL AT HIS READ THAT CAUSES THIS TO HAPPEN.

Jerry,
Yea I realize that I just worded it wrong.
I am leaning toward the Point Technique and I think my head coach is as well. Another quick question here though. Im thinking this would be very awkward for any QB but have you heard of anyone teaching their QB to open at 6 oclock...drive toward their read just like you teach...then stop and execute a ride/decide?? Could this be done? Im thinking this would allow the QB to get that downhill drive that is so important while using the Ride method.
No, that is not practical at all, IMO. First off, you can't drive downhill with your shoulders square to the read and the ball pointed at him and then reach back for the ride. That is just not sound at all. It defeats the entire purpose of the POINT METHOD, as well as, would be way too time concerning with the Dive backs knuckles at 4 yds. off the ball.
