I want to run ISV to a 5 tech and OSV to a 4...I think I have a problem, in that vs a 4 my PST and PSG will double the 4 and we will read the next DL. I believe that the PSLB in a 50 Defense can stunt B gap and blow up the mesh before the TE can get down to block him...any thoughts..??
You must have two offensive players tracking the inside linebacker if there is a DL in front of the primary blocker. In this case the 4 tech. is in front of the TE. The TE cannot block down to attack the ILB. Instead he must release upward to attack the ILB. If you use the scheme above, you will not have problems--the angles are there to make OV work.

The TE is the one making the TREY call. I am merely trying to help Coach VeerOpt by being more specific. I want Coach VeerOpt to know that the TE has the 4 tech. to the inside linebacker and the tackle is getting help on the 4 tech. from the TE.

I guess I am confused, then. The 4 tech is aligned on the inside shoulder of the Tackle. With our rules, this would call for a double team with the Guard. The Te will come down on the LB, but if the LB stunts the TE cannot get him.
If you have the TE make the trey call in the PSL, and then the defense stems on the snap, how do you compensate? What rules do you have in place for scenarios such as that? Thanks in advance for your time.

I believe I see exactly what you are saying in your last post. In my terminology there is a diference between a doule team and a combo block. I think, if I am seeing correctly your thinking, that in this instance you would be better served with a double team (deuce with guard and slam and slide to LB).
For further clarification:
DOUBLE TEAM BLOCK FEATURES TWO OL STEPPING HIP TO HIP AND DRIVE BLOCKING A DL!
COMBO BLOCK FEATURES TWO OL'S ATTACKING A DL BY ONE HITTING HIM AT SHOULDER HEIGHT AND THE OTHER HITTING HIM AT RIB CAGE LEVEL. THE ONE OL THAT HITS HIM HIGH WILL THEN SLIDE TO THE 2ND LEVEL DEFENDER (LB) WHILE HIS TEAM MATE CONTROLS THE DL. WHAT DETERMINES WHO WILL CARRY OUT WHAT ASSIGNMENT BY THE TWO OL'S IS THE PRE SNAP LOOK OF THE LB. THE OL CLOSEST TO HIM WILL SLIDE TO HIM AND THEREFORE WILL HIT THE DL HIGH.

We don't ever see a head up 4. For simplicity we just call a 4i a 4.
I know what you are saying, but our OL coach's philosophy is to double the stuffing out of the 4 and we don't track LB's. It serves us well when we run OSV, but the LB run through could hurt.
I think your missing my point. You have your TE call his desired block in the PSL and then on the snap the D stems to something else (why does it matter what they stem to as it is to late to change your blocking call then) and how if you block for the original play call can you succeed against a different defensive look?
Just curious as to your thinking on this.

Just have your guard and tackle double the 4i.If LB wants to attempt a run through, guard gets off of block and takes LB.If LB scrapes, the TE has a free shot on him.Center should be running full zone to also close the gap for the run through LB.I tell my line men double and keep eyes on LB,the best thing is a double team driving the 4i into the LB.
