what did you start seeing that made you want to incorporate the outside veer? In other words, what do you think outside veer will be best at attacking?
Sure can't answer for OPTIONCOACH, but whenever you see them start to cheat the outside backers in to better defend the ISV, then sock it to 'em with the OSV or lead load or load option! Just my way as always.

We added the OV specifically to combat 50 teams, but we like it against 4-3 teams as well. We also play some split front teams that will reduce the DE to a 4 or 5 and bring the OLB down to a 9 tech on the TE side. Rather than trying to read the 5, read the 9 (thats pretty bang-bang) we run OV. Another reason we wanted to add it was because we wanted to have our QB keep it more often. By making the DE the dive key, we put him in a bind.
