Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I have searched all fo the posts under counter option and all I can find is the play w/QB faking veer one way and turning around and running option the other. What I want to do is fake veer right w/motion coming looking like it's going to be a veer to the right. I want to hand-off to the other slot going back to the left and pull the BSG to kick out the DE. What do you all call this play? I have hear the term "truck" and counter option, but are they correct?
I am looking for any plays to add that will go against our motion. I am also going to run a counter motion, with the slot going in motion and going back the way he came.
Just a word of caution: Don't run a counter AWAY from your TE unless you want to get your QB killed!
Going backside on a COUNTER OPTION, instilll in your QB think QUICK PITCH to get the ball on the perimeter.

look at Wing-T counter tackle trap and sally ....tackle trap is easier to install it hits in the backside A gap with but you have to pull a guy which is a key... Sally is a draw that you run to your wing back i run it like my slide protection biggest thing is that the wing has to get enough depth to run to daylight if he doesn't it will not be a pretty play sally can hit in any of the backside gaps.
Run a counter like the Wing-T Buck Series. We ran this from double slot (shoot) formation. We had one slot that rushed for over 1,000 and the the other for over 900 yds. These yards also included the triple. Most teams thought we were running a reverse when we gave to the slot and a reverse keep when we ran the boot. We did not use any motion on it. It has been a good play for us for 8-10 years. Hope this helps.
