Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
All the NFL & Division I playbooks for sale or trade out there have a defensive identification SECTION.
All WE care about is if the B gap is defended by a DLM (we call this "RED"), or a LBer (we call this "WHITE"). Also the align of the SAFETIES (where is the "eight man"). That determines WHERE we want to attack more than anything else.
For example - a quick FB trap is generally better to RED than WHITE. An I formation ISO play is generally better to WHITE than RED. ETC!
Cannot go into more detail. Much of this is according to what style offense you use!
PS: This is VERY general:
1. Most 3 man lines are called "34 WHATEVER" (whatever = base, over, under, shade, stack, ETC.). Could also be "3-3".
2. Most 4 man lines are called "4-3 WHATEVER" (whatever = base, over, under, shade, stack, etc. Could aso be "4-4".
3. EVERYTHING ELSE ("bear 46", ETC.) are in a special category.
There IS no universal way to do this - everybody's terminology DIFFERS!
