Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We have a screen and draw session. Our G / T block Big on Big. Tackle takes huge kick out step to invite the outside rush. After count of 2, T blocks perimeter and G releases and seals inside. Out OT will be taught to "throw" the DE up field after the first count. During practice session, we will go Screen Rt, Screen Left, etc, etc to maximize reps with me as QB, and 2 FBs.
Our FBs will be with the OL during pass pro / screens / draws while QB and skill do their pass skeleton.
I bet last year, i did not see one screen against our team. We practice them and use them often. when in doubt, screen!!!!!!!!!!!
1. A middle screen where the entire OL collisions and then releases upfield.
2. A slow screen that we run both weak and strong; our OT's on these pass pro. the DE's, and then we use the guards and usually an inside receiver playside to kick, seal, and lead.
3. Quick screens to both the weak and strongsides with the playside OT and OG releasing.
I've coached the veer for some time now and we didn't run a lot of screens. My problem during spring was developing drills to break the screen down into component parts. We did "OK," but I wasn't happy with it at all. Any recommendations practice wise for individual periods?

we run a tunnel screen, convoy screen, slip screen and a sprintout with FB screen Backside and a Tight end screen backside tied in with our sprintout game. Coach Campbell
