Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Only 13 signed up for our 8th & 9th grade camp and 19 signed up for our 6th & 7th grade camp. With so few, would you cancel both camps and we can't even have a team period with 11 on 11. With 19, I guess it's possible as when you going team period we will be only two short on defense.
You input concerning both camps would be greatly appreciated. Do you think it would be worth while to run a camp for only 13 players? Help please! Thanks
Although you might be understandably disappointed at the turnout, having fewer kids will give you the opportunity to give each player a lot more individual attention. Unless you have a specific reason (financial or otherwise) for cancelling or have another date you could reschedule your camp for that would likely bring in more kids, I would proceed with the camp with what you have. You may not be able to work 11 on 11 but you can certainly give the kids there a lot more individual reps. You could work half-line for your team period run game and work 7-on-7 during passing game if that fits what you're looking to do.
Just thinking out loud, but, unless you've got something better to do, I think I'd rather be coaching 32 kids than not coaching at all! Is this a non-contact camp?
Good luck coach with whatever way you decide to go!

"It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters."
I agree with Dave. Go half line, go 7 on 7, do whatever it takes. I have done it a million times I guess.
If, as Dave says, it is a finacial thing that has to be considered of course, but if not go for it. I don't know what can be done, but I really feel if the kids don't wake up from this apathy that has them fast becoming one of the laziest generations in history, IMO, our game is in for some rough sledding in this area of summer preparation. They all want to play come season time, but VERY FEW really want to make the sacrifice during the off season to PREPARE TO WIN.
