Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.

Slot your tight end and then run inside veer towards it. It clears the perimeter read and only allows the defense to run 2 man stunts rather than a 3 man to the other side. Coach CAmpbell
I need to add some additional info regarding the 3-3. They also have 2 OLB/Rovers lined up over our slot area, so in essence, you may also call it a 3-5.
When we slot out one of our slotbacks, they just move the OLB/Rover out their with him, still leaving the stacked LB over the DT.
We are a flexbone team. When we run inside veer,we will inside release our O-tackle.He is looking for OLB if he shows. We also seal the OLB with our Slot back.We read DT for dive and pitch off of the SS/Rover.Center on NG,Guard on MLB.FB dives right up the guard's butt.We sometimes switch the block with the O-Tackle looping outside for OLB and the Slotback coming inside for OLB.Easy read for the QB.Big SPLITS!!!
Any additional comments on blocking either the outside or inside veer...specifically with regards to having the Rovers/SS in the picture.
What about triple teaming the DT to the playside with PSG, PST and TE straight back to stacked OLB and hitting the outside veer...you'd keep the C on the NG and would leave the MLB stacked to have to fight through or over the triple team.
I am worried about our center blocking a good nose alone. How do you handle this? Why not double the nose with the PSG and inside release OT to MLB. TE comes down on OLB. Doesn't the OLB have to take QB if they are playing cover 3?
We make the C and BSG responsible for the A-gaps v a true NT. Therefore, the C can reach the PS A-gap knowing that if the NT slants to the BS, the BSG is scooping the BS A-gap.
Coach
Have your playside Tackle arc release from the 4 tech and block the OLB then the PSG blocks the MLB. Base the nose and then have the PS slotback block the DE. Have your QB read the 4 tech then get out to the edge and read the SB block. If the DE stretches get up into C gap. If not get out and pitch off of the CB and the SE to crack safety. This is a great way to run vs. 53 same as a stack and keep the QB safe from a DE charge. This is run out of a flexbone set. Good luck.

We dont lose any games we just run out of time.

I used your method of blocking the 3-3 stack this past week with a lot of success. Just one question if you release the tackle to the B gap and the OLB does not show or charge through the B gap do you have him work to the inside or find that stacked OLB and double him with the wing.
What is your best option pass out of the flex.
Thanks
PST releases into the B-gap. If the stacked LB plugs, then he blocks him. If he scrapes over the top, then he works upfield to the FS.
PSHB releases in between #1 and the SS/OLB/Rover. If the stacked LB plugs, then he works upfield to the FS. If he scrapes to him, then he blocks the LB.
Essentially, the PST and PSHB have the stacked LB to the FS. QB reads DE for the dive/pull and the SS/OLB/Rover for the keep/pitch.
If I'm not doing a good job of explaining myself here, then let me know. I'll see if I can draw up a quick Power Point to illustrate it better.
Our best play action? Seam. BSWR runs a streak. PSHB runs the seam (up the hash). PSWR runs a streak. QB pokes the ball into the belly of the RB and takes a 3-step drop, hitches up and delivers the football. His progression is Seam to PS Streak. If the secondary tries to rotate the BS safety to the seam, then we can run the BSWR on a post or post-corner (depending on how the BSCB is playing it). Our protection is a version of slide protection (we call it off-gap). I'll break it down...
BSHB---orbit motion, turn back to BS D-gap.
BST---BS C-gap
BSG---BS B-gap
C---BS A-gap
PSG---PS A-gap
RB---PS B to D-gaps
PST---PS C-gap

Thanks for the run down. I have been so busy I have not had a chance to get on and read your post. Soon I will be on here quite a bit more. Hopefully, that will not be for a few more weeks.
I would go double TE and run OV on their butt. Put them in a 5-3 look and double the crap out of that 4 and chip to that PSbacker. Read dive off that OLB/DE and pitch off the CB. My Slot/HB would be responsible for the safety or that PSbacker if he skates.
