We will be facing a team in 2 weeks that runs the under and over fronts, some people call it the shade defense. You will always have a 1 and 5 tech to one side, and a 3 and 5/7 to another side, a MLB in in a 10 opposite the 1 and a 30 LB opposite him.
This team has a freak for a MLB. He is big and super fast and physical. We run inside and outside veer, as well lead, power, toss, trap, counter, and a few other complimentary plays. We are considering running "freeze" option to slow the MLB down. Does anyone have any opinions on how to attack this defense, and / or run the freeze option?
