Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Does anyone run them both. It seems like becasue it takes so much practice on both to run it right that running both together would be difficult. I for sure would want to run veer, midline, speed, and flip. I do not know if i should try and put in counter and trap or just zone? Thanks
Coach just curious if there is any way I could find out how you teach you zone and veer blocking together. I have been thinking could you not zone block to the right and run veer out backside?
We work mesh/read EVERDAY for both plays. We make sure that we are consistant in our depth and alignment from center for both plays. We make sure to really coach up the scout players who are our read keys.
If your running the Zone play, everyone is zone blocking to the play side with the RB away from the play call side.
If your runnig the Veer play, everyone is veer blocking (ie. the PST and PSG are doubling the 3 tech to the PSILB or if they have a 1 tech, the PSG is on him and the PST is down to the PSILB) while the RB is on the same side of the play called (ie. Veer right, he is aligned on the right).
