Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach Campbells answer is solid! Or you can load on his butt and not let him know he is hurting you all that bad. Bury his butt a few times with a load is what I like to do.

I wish it was that easy, what I failed to explain is that BOTH DE's were that good.....
My concern about running the double option is that I don't think our O'Line (especially since the kid has an o/s shade) can block them...I believe they will shed the block and grab the qb.
If they are as good as you say, and I'm sure they are, and you can't deal with them you only have one alternative and that is to get a new game plan for the night you play them! Change up some formations and go double tite, or unbalanced, or spread them out or some kind of full house where you can get a hat on all they send, etc. IF YOUR KIDS CAN'T DEAL WITH THEM, WITH THE SUMMER COMING UP AND ALL THE EXCELLENT PRACTICE HOURS IT AFFORDS, THAT IS AN EXCELLENT TIME TO PUT IN A SECRET GAME PLAN FOR THAT ONE GAME AND DON'T SHOW YOUR HAND UNTIL IT IS TIME TO PLAY THEM IN THE FALL!!!
I think the best coaching advice I ever received in my entire career was that of always be prepared by having a plan for every possible scenario the opponent can possibly show you on game night!!! A lot of extra work? You bet it is, but come that game night you will be very glad you did the work!

I would say load him, that would be my first option. The second thing I would do is to see how they play him when you put a TE on his side. Does he stay a 5 or does he change tech. If he stays a 5 then I would double him and run OV. If you run GSU formation then for that game I would move my slot on the line or put in the formation special for that game. Its not that big of an adjustment. You can always try to run speed option at him not having the dive read may force him to make a definate decision.
Can you run counters or powers at him? Can you wide trap him. Running at him might not be a good option but can you counter back to him? Get him to make some mistakes?
Tough call coach, but I would challenge those ends with the veer still. Can't totally go away from what is your bread and butter if it is indeed your bread and butter. What is your drop back game? Would they be taken advantage of on draw plays as well?
Your advice is sound sure enough, but he already knows his kids can't deal with book ends who are far superior to any kid he has. Challenge them like you say with the veer, but after they stuff it, then what are you going to do? Being a one dimensional offense is great if you can OUT EXECUTE EVERY OPPONENT YOU WILL FACE, BUT THAT VERY RARELY HAPPENS ON THE HS LEVEL IN MY EXPERIENCE OF 30 YEARS AT THAT LEVEL. I still think that the best plan is to have a plan for that night! One they, or nobody else has seen from his squad. Just my opinion as always.

There is always a way...keep drawing up blocking schemes so you can still run ISV. Something will come up that fits naturally into what you do (and what your kids know how to do). It could be something completely different (as Coach Easton mentioned) and still fit into what you already do.
If you give us your formation(s), their defensive front(s) and support scheme(s) and we'll spitball some ideas. This should be fun.
