I haven't been active in the online coaching community at all this off season. I am making a big effort to start visiting the message boards on a regular basis again. I just wanted to say hi and ask if the the old regulars from years past are still active on this board? Coach Campbell, OneBack, Tiger One, Lou Cella, etc??? I haven't talked to you guys in quite some time. Are you all still here?
John - good to hear from you. Most of us are still around. The "old codgers" like Tiger 1 & myself are "suffering from the infirmities of old age", but still active! Heard from Lou Cella last PM - he is a bright young coach!
John, I was wondering where you were. What happened? Are you going down to Carson-Newman for the clinic? I was going to, but it's simply too far for me to go down, and I will have gone to 4 clinics in the last month. I have every intention of working Coach Turner's offensive line camp this summer. I had so much fun down there last summer. Email me at CellaFBall@aol.com and let me know what is going on with you.
In the last few months here's what has gone down:
•I am speaking at the MasterSports Football Clinic in Newton, Massachusetts with New England Patriots’ Head Coach, Bill Belichick; with coaches from the New England Patriots, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers; and with other college coaches (March 9-10, 2007).
•As a dual-role coordinator (recruiting/special teams) and Linebacker Coach, I coached Lackawanna College to an undefeated season in 2006 (10-0), coached team to the 2006 Northeast Conference championship, coached team to a national ranking of #5, and coached Lackawanna College to a victory in the 2006 Valley of the Sun Bowl vs. 2005 National Champion Glendale Community College (December 2, 2006).
•As Linebackers Coach, I coached the top-ranked scoring defense in the country.
•As Special Teams Coordinator, I coordinated a unit that blocked 11 kicks.
I've been blessed to add all of the above to my resume.
John, I will never leave this board because Coach Easton, Coach Mountjoy, and Coach Campbell have made huge differences in my LIFE and my COACHING CAREER. They have made me a much, much better and much more realistic coach. Coach Easton has made me a much, much better Christian. All three of them have helped me when I needed them the most. These three men have over 125 years of experience between them.

Lou,
Unfortunately, I will not be making it down to the CN clinic this year. I am very dissapointed about this but things happen. Congrats on the fine season last year! Unbeaten seasons are so precious b/c they are so difficult to come by! Having the top scoring defense and blocking 11 kicks is a great accomplishment in itsself.
Last season I served as co-Oline coach and Dline coach at a high school of 88 boys and a program in just its 11th year of existence. We finished with an overall record of (8-3). We lost in the 1st round of the Ohio state playoffs.
