To make a long story short, I just finished my 3rd year as head coach. We started many sophomores & a freshman, played 2 playoff teams & 7 teams that ended up over .500. We finished with a 2-8 record. We were close in every game but one. Our senior class was very poor - never won a game in junior high (scoring only 2 TDs). Before I came here, they had only 30-some kids. We had over 50 this year. They didn't have a weightlifting program at all. Now we do. Many other facets have improved, too.
I may be fired at the next board meeting. I am going to fight to keep the job. I have several good points I will make. But, the bottom line is wins & losses.
What I'm asking for is examples of successful high school/college coaches who started off with 3 losing seasons & then went on to be consistent winners. I most likely will share this information with the people in power. Thanks.
