Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I finally got to see the DVD "Facing The Giants" and it truly moved me! I want to say "Thank You" to Coach Campbell for first bringing it to the forefront.
I want to show this movie not only to our Football team, but to be honest, to every young teenage person out there. The lessons in this movie are priceless, and WILL make an impact on someone. Does anyone know if the movie was based on a true story or not??
What really dissapoints me is the fact that here in alot (if not all) counties in Maryland, coaches are not allowed to pray with the team. We do have a moment of silence, but unfortunately we are not allowed to say the lord's prayer, or similar things. The way the coach made reference to the lord, the bible, and the lessons and stories from it were inspiring, and I truly WISH I could have the opportunity to do the same.
Anyway, thanks again, and please see this movie and more importantly, share it with others!
Do what most southern christians do, IGNORE these mandates that tell us we can't pray at a ball game! If the people in this country would rise up enmasse and start to act like what we claim to be, AND USED TO BE FOR CERTAIN, things would change. This country was founded on the ordinations of the one true living god, JESUS CHRIST, and to let the bleeding heart liberals with the basic tenet of "oh we have to honor all religions" baloney dictate LEGALLY what we as Christians can and cannot do, it is time for a serious revamping of our laws in this facet of our lives! THIS POLITICAL CORRECTNESS APPROACH HAS GOT TO GO IF WE ARE TO MAINTAIN EVEN A SEMBLENCE OF WHAT THIS COUNTRY ONCE STOOD FOR!!!

Tiger this is a great topic. I feel very strong about prayer and making sure that in my small way that I say and share the good word with my players. If i ever loose my job because I pray with my kids then so be it. I now understand after last year the strength in prayer. Coach campbell
Yes, it is truly remarkable how prayer changes things! After 30 years in the ministry, God has taught me more about life in the last year and a half than I ever knew!!! It will be 19 months on the 26th of this month that I had my near death experience and it has changed me forever, and all for the good! Sometimes God gets our attention in ways that are not always plesant by any means!
So glad to hear that your very sensitive to the strength in prayer since your ordeal, Coach Campbell. It certainly has a way of really enhancing our faith, doesn't it?
Duke, I am doing well and plan on a fishing trip to Florida come May 5th, the good Lord willing of course. I learned not to take anything for granted ever again as it can all change in a heart beat! Thanks for your kind words. I am 110 lbs. lighter and walk slowly now days, where I used to go charging around full bore every day. It has certainly taught me to stop and smell the roses and to really appreciate God's goodness in my life. I am planning some trips to observe practice and games of some of the coaches who have extended invitations to do so since they have come on the board, as well as, some like Lou Cella who are long time members of the forum. Bill Powers in West Virginia asked me to be his head instructor two years ago for a big QB camp that he puts on anually and I went and had a great time. We had something like 125 QB's and after being in the pro minor leagues coaching for the last 10 years, I really enjoyed a high school level camp once again. I plan to make that camp again this year, not as a coach but as an observer of the days acticities.

I did see the movie for the first time a couple of months ago. It was a great movie. I actually just tried to have my kids do the "death crawl", I forget what he called it. It did not work. I am going to have to see the movie again to see how they did it. I also coach in a public school and wish we could still pray before a game and talk a little more about religion. It is pathetic how super sensitive people have gotten. I am not looking to push any religion on anyone, just looking to ask for someone to look over these young men when they are participating in a sport like football. I am thinking that I will use the idea of observing a moment of silence to pray in your own way before the games. Anyway, great movie.
I just purchased this movie a couple weeks ago and I'm waiting to sit down with my wife to watch it. She likes sports movies, especially meaningful ones!!! It was suggested to me from one of my assistants. He mentioned the amount of prayer and religion in the movie and didn't know if it would be "PC" for our school. They don't want us to push religion on these public school kids. It was a lot easier when I coached at a Catholic HS, nothing to worry about there. Maybe this weekend we'll watch it.
