Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I wanted to take this opportunity, although somewhat late, to publicly thank Coach Easton for spending the afternoon with me earlier this month. I had the opportunity to stop in to see him in SC on my way to Ohio, and enjoyed a great meal and even better conversation. Being a non-rookie coach (23 years) but a new head coach, I have to tell all of you what a treat it was to set with Jerry and just talk the game and swap stories. My only regret is that the time went much to quick and I still have a ton of questions that he will have to put up with.
Guys, I hope we all have the chance to meet each other because there is so much knowledge on this board that can be exchanged, it would be a scary thing to see all of you in the same room.
Thanks again Coach for your time and the priviledge of talking with you.
Thank you for the kind words, although I really felt blessed to sit and talk football with you probably much more than anything I was able to give you. You are certainly not a neophyte in the coaching ranks with 23 years under your belt, and the questions you asked were intelligent and thought provoking. I know the program will flourish under your leadership as you appeared to me, to be totally dedicated to learning and making progress quickly. The option game is still a very viable offense and always will be in my opinion, and keeping abreast of the latest nuances of the offense is certainly the way to go! Please, never feel like you are bothering any of us here on the forum with as many questions as you may have and do not hesitate to fire them to me as soon as they crop up! I can furnish you with lots of good answers, but certainly do not think I have them all by any means! That's the beauty of our forum here, we all share our thoughts and experience with whomever we can help! We are not gullible enough to think that any one coach has ALL the answers, that would be absurd as I'm sure you well know. Personally, I look forward to your many questions that you anticipate having in the coming weeks and hope in some small way I can help you get off to a good start!

PREPARING ANOTHER PACKAGE THAT WILL CONTAIN SOME EXCELLENT RECEIVER DRILLS AND SOME MORE GOOD OPTION COMPLIMENT PLAYS. Did your QB coach get anything out of the stuff I enclosed in your present package? Have you had a chance to show your QB and dive back the point method fundamentals yet? Would be very interested in knowing if it makes him more comfortable, AND CONFIDENT, and if he grasps the reasoning behind it being responsible for greatly reducing fumbles over the "ride and decide" in that there is never two players hands on the ball at the same time. Please advise.

We have our next workout on Monday, and we are going to start really working on the mechanics then. I went over the basics of the point with my QB coach and he seems to like the idea a lot.
I'll look forward to recieving the packet in the coming days. I've gone through the stuff you sent and it was all good. Some of the things you had in there are similar to some of the stuff I have been thinking about. Loved the 3 play series with the counter action.
It is now 8-9-07 and I believe today you said was going to be hitting for the first time. Would be very interested in knowing which of the QB candidates you told me about looked the best. According to your latest emails, I would guess it is the candidate that is the youngest of the lot, right?
That problem you mention about the one parent not wanting their son to play is common, especially since soccer has gotten a real hold on the momma's who think it is safer than football. I overcame it on several occasions by talking with the FATHER who is more inclined to want him to play. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, right? Just a suggestion as always.
