How many formations do you use on a regular basis? We are a flexbone option offense, and I just wanted to see what other guys are doing. We tend to stay in double slot (ACE) quite a bit, but we do line up in trips open, twins (both receivers on one side w/ inside guy being ineligible), te w/ a wing, and unbalanced.

We run ISV, OSV, midline, a few other runs, and throw the ball about 20 % of the game.

We can bring a HB over (trips open) or a WR over (unbalanced). Trips keeps all receivers eligible. Unbalanced allows us to maintain the integrity of two HBs in the slot. We also (from double slot) reduce the split of the WR to create a 2-man bunch (WR and HB). We use these variations to outnumber a defense or take advantage of an over-adjustment. Also, these variations can cause run support changes (depending on the team/scheme).
