coach, I was wonder what a typical summer camp practice entrails for you. I would imagine that you arent doing a great deal of insdei/outside period and more installation of your scheme. Would you mind posting a one day schedule as far as what you get done during camp?

First off, always went about getting alignments down pat for the 3 formations of REGULAR, WIDE, AND CLOSE in the 3 x 2.
Receivers and QB coaches would then implement basic routes, techniques, etc. with the campers. Always demonstrated and explained what we wanted done by the campers first.
QB coaches would work on teaching reading defenses and how to defeat them, while the receiver coaches would work on running precise routes, route discipline in general.
This segment would be done in the morning session. Then, after lunch we would work on team periods
putting into practice what they had learned. We would hold passing competitons for the QB's and pass catching competitions for the receivers.
I ALWAYS INCLUDED A SHORT TALK ON BECOMING A GOOD MAN WITH STRONG MORAL CHARACTER.
We would finish up the day with a pizza party or watermelon bust, pass out a t-shirt and hat and then head home.

Forgot to mention we always STARTED the day with special stretches for QB's and receivers, starting with fingers, hands, arms and progressing to warm up throwing and catching drills.
