I would discuss the situation with the organization you committed to coach for and see if it's possible to find a suitable replacement for you without putting them in a real bind. If so, then you could take the other job with no reservations about having done so. Just my opinion.

One more thing to think about...a paid position will be looked higher upon in later resumes than a volunteer position...doesn't make much sense, but it seems to be that way.

Thanks guys! The pop warner program is in need of more help than wins and losses. We are trying to change the face of the program. The new president is going into his 2nd year of running things. Lets just say that our program is a home in need of serious repair. I played in the program as a youth. We need to make changes at the top! For example... A dresscode for the coaches for starters. Its an inner city program. If a size large fits you, then dont order a XXXL coaches jersey!!!! Leave the boots, and Du-rag at home! Get yourself a pair of khakis... And tuck in your damn shirt if you are gonna coach football.
If you want respect, you should get it the second you step off the bus. Long story bareable... If you wouldnt wear it to a job interview then dont wear it on the sidelines. Its a new president but basically the same coaches. Am i being too dramatic???
