Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I'm fortunate to have a very talented group I'm working with this season. We're 4-0 headed into an off-week for us. Our next game will be against a similarly talented opponent and should make for a great game. As a staff we have been fighting the complacency bug for a while, having won our previous games 19-6, 34-0, 27-0 and 34-0. Was good to get three individual periods back in our practices for this week to help reinforce some fundamentals heading into our preparation for our first big game of the season next week.
Our mesh from the pistol and from under center has looked very good. Our o-line play has exceeded our expectations so far as well. Our passing game has lagged a bit behind where I had hoped we would be but we have executed pretty well on the relatively small amount we've put in so far.
Defensively we've been pretty strong, basing from an odd-stack front. We have a lot of speed defensively with one really special kid who has become nothing short of dominant this season. Will be fun to see how he approaches taking his game to the next level with the challenges we face in the upcoming weeks.
Regardless of how the scoreboard has been treating you this season, I hope you all find success on the field this season!

That sounds good. Good to hear from some coaches. Good luck the rest of the year!
We are 4-1 with one more game to go. We are excited as this is our first winning season(3yr old program). Our Offense has moved the ball all year long. We struggled early on with dumb penalties and alot of that can be thrown right on us coaches but we(the kids and coaches) improved along the way. Fumbilitis killed us early in the year.Once the O kept the mistakes down to a minimum the points started adding up. They really made some huge plays.
Our D has been way better than I expected and has more than held their own.We have had about 20 INT's and at least 5 returned for TD's. Im the DC and Im trying to be humble (im still a green young coach),the scheme was good but THE KIDS worked their butt off and made the plays. I cannot be prouder of them.
Special Teams scored 2 TDs a punt and a KOff return and allowed hardly any yardage on returns from our end, and no TD's.
This year has been exciting and I love it. We only have one more game to go and then I will be back with Varsity the rest of the year. Sad that it went so quick.
Looking forward to hearing about others seasons so far,
We won a very physical game today 32-6, to advance to the semi-finals next Saturday where we will meet in a rematch the only team to beat us this season.
Great win for our kids today and we're excited to have another week to play spme more football! Was curious who's still playing at this point of the season... best of luck if you are!

Congrats on your playoff berth. How did that game go ? I know its been awhile since you wrote. Our season is over but I'd like to hear how things played out for ya.
We played a rematch in our league's semi-finals today against a team that handed it to us 26-6 several weeks ago in our only loss of the season. We were behind 6-0 at the half but were able to come away with a 14-6 win against a very good, undefeated opponent.
We lost our starting center to a broken femur earlier this week at practice and our backup struggled during the first half. He really came through for us after the break though. Our TE, poor kid was just sick as a dog, he tried to go but just couldn't. Had a reserve DE suffer a grade 4 shoulder seperation at school last week as well, playing "touch" football! All in all a great win for our kids (we're 9-1), and one that earns us a shot at another undefeated, very athletic team (9-0 w/spread O) in our league Superbowl next Saturday.
Should be a lot of fun if we can keep them all healthy for one more week!
Best of luck to everyone still playing!

Thats great about your win. I thought you was one of my coaches for a minute there. Our only loss this year was 22-6 and we came back at the end of the year and beat them 14-6. But we werent missing the players you said you was.
It always feels good to face a team that beat ya and reverse that curse. The kids loved it and Im sure your did as well.
We came up a little short in our championship game last Saturday, losing 12-7. Down 12-0 at the half, our kids fought hard during the second half, as we had pretty much all season, but eventually ran out of time. All of us were certainly disappointed in not being able to get it done but we simply were beaten by a team that was a little better than us that day. All in all, a great season for our kids and a lot of memories for me and my coaching staff that we will cherish for many years to come! It was a great ride! We finished 9-2 on the season.
I'm coaching our All-Star team for the next three weeks and will then take a few weeks off before starting to think about next season! I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with their family and friends tomorrow. I've been so fortunate to have been blessed in so many ways in my life, and I wish the same for all of you.
I am thankful to my family for allowing me to do what I do, to the men I get to coach the greatest game ever created with, to my friends near and far who have always been there for me, and then especially to God, for everything I have in this world and more importantly for the promise of eternal life He gave us in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Happy Thanksgiving Coaches!
