Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach I listened to most all of your sessions in Kansas City this last weekend, it was an excellent session. I have a couple of questions about your gun offense.
First off what are your OL splits?
You align the RB's off the inside foot of the offensive tackle, that is wider than we have run our gun stuff, what is the reason for having that alignment?
How would you block a 50 front w/ 9-4-0-4-9 when running IV? Would you try to read the 4 for dive and the 9 for pitch? Or is that too quick of a read if they both come hot?
What about your take it back blocking (2's & 3's) do you leave the 4 and the 9 or do you block a 4. Assume he's not crossing your face he is reading.
How close to the LOS does the QB get on his ride? You talked about a step towards then a hop skip into the line.
