Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
In an effort to reduce the amount of plays, information etc. that our defensive players need to learn we are going to try to have a strong & weak side for our ILB's & OLB's. That way these players only need to learn calls to their side of the formation.
My question is what to do when the offense shifts or puts a player in motion and we have a blitz called either weak side or strong side. Should we stay the call? Should we check to the other side of the formation for the blitz?
Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply.

Some DC's have a rule that they never check out of a blitz. Usually the Safety is the adjuster.
Most teams will not re-flip flop their linemen, but might check the strength call. This will put the strong side player in a weak side alignment and vice versa.

I know as an offensive coach if you flip flop your defensive line I will trade the Tight End. Our defensive fronts are based upon the tight end. For the most part because it is the tight end that sets the front we will stay in it unless the tight end flips. Coach campbell
