Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Just wanted to get everybody's opinion on a jet sweep using splitbacks. The wingback is basically just a slot WR moved in. Almost like a hybrid Wing-T/SBV. The QB would send the WB in jet motion (the QB is under center by the way) and he'd hand it off. The PST would reach/hook the end, the PSG would pull, the entire backside would step playside and not let anyone cross their face. The playside HB would lead, the WR would stalk the CB, and the backside HB would fake dive on the backside A gap. You could also have the WR crack the ILB and have the playside HB lead on the CB. So, mainly my question is do you guys think the playside HB could get out in front of the WB enough? I want to have the PST narrow his splits a bit and have the playside HB widen his a bit. Any thoughts?
Being realistic is the most commonly traveled road to mediocrity
It is fantastic. Look up stuff from Willamette University. They do it better than anyone. I have added it to my SBV package recently, and it is unreal. First you run veer at a DE, then load, then the fly sweep, throw in a little toss and power...suddenly those kids don't know what to do. Don't worry about blocking anyone from the playside 3 technique back...if anyone is running you down from that spot, you are too slow. as you drew it up above, I would not even bother touching the left DE, T, and Nose...they are no threat at all. Tell your TE, T, G, C to power step right and get to 2nd and 3rd level. Reach the End, and the T, lead with the front-side back, backside RB is your belly man. You can crack with the WR if you want. If you can find the WU fly sweep video that Coach Speckman put out it explains everything in detail. It can be a great compliment to SBV...or can be a basis of your offense as Willamette does.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
NOW, go out of gun and add zone read triple (pitch/bubble) and its even better..now you go AT the DE with a vertical read in Gun triple, AWAY from him in zone triple and AROUND him in Jet.. then just as he is thinking no body is going to block him kick him out on Power..he will need a psychiatrist by the end of the game If you really want to have fun then add "Flash" = Jet Read..my new favorite play
