I was wondering if anybody was running any Okie dog pinch variations or Bear variations vs a spread? I just stumbled upon this site last week trying to find a Defense to stop Double tite power I..... With your guys help, I found the ODP just in time. We played it tonight and absolutely smashed a power running football team at their own game. We also mixed in some bear vs pro sets with the same result. We pressured the hell out of them and the kids loved it.
We are primarily a 3-5-3 cover 0 and cover 1 team but jumped into ODP and bear no problem with the same 3-5-3 personnel.
This week we get a spread team and I would like to integrate some of the same ODP/Bear pressure concepts vs them. Anybody got any suggestions?
We were actually looking at playing a 5-1 , blitz the 7th guy outside angle like ODP and play zero behind it. Situationally we would also double their best guy with our 7th guy, widen our ends and play zero. We could also play 1 at anytime very easily.
We already played this team during the regular season and just played our 3-5 against it. They run 2x2, 3x1, and 2x2 and 3x1 with TE looks as well.
We want to throw something at them something they have never seen us play while keeping the same personell.
Does anybody have any 5-1 stuff they would like to share???
