Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
What are some of the simplest tags/ways you get your RB's from the "I" involved in your passing attack? We have some real good backs and need to utilize them in the passing game to help our QB make some easy completions and help his confidence as he has not played QB since Middle School and finds himself the senior starter.
It is HARD to get backs out in the "I" (the GREAT Sid Gillman refused to drop-back from the "I" - only play action where they fake & block, because they are too deep in B.F. to get far down-field).
We used them in FLARE CONTROL. It is too hard to explain typing, but if you wish to phone - I can explain (today/Wed. up to 6 PM, or tomorrow/Thurs between 12 NOON & 6 PM/EASTERN). I'll be tied up Fri & Sat all day. 804-716-7038
PS: Brief statement from our notebook: Use the running backs in the DROP-BACK passing game as well, so you can have 5 receivers in the pattern. This is done thru "FLARE CONTROL" = "check-release" (if your assigned man that you "check" doesn't rush = release on routes 4-5 yds deep)) 1. MAN: Flare action is designed to hold backers. If backers are loose, HIT flare man. 2. ZONE: Flare action is a must to hold the backers close to the line to help open up the zones behind them.
