During my time at Navarro College I learned a lot about zone blocking concepts. At that time we were and air raid offense, the Offensive Coordinator just left Texas Tech and installed the offense there. We were very successful running this averaging over a 150 yards per game. Now that I am a Offensive coordinator, we continue to use the zone blocking concepts because we feel that it gives our athletes the best chance to be successful. We have been blessed with great skilled players year in and year out, with that said we want to play with a unbelievably fast tempo to keep defenses off guard. To do so we like zone blocking concepts because its easier on the offensive line to understand while playing fast. We use different concepts and presentations to be creative to keep defenses off balance. We continue to build an offense with multiple options but simple which works for us.
