Special Teams Creed:
1. Being on a Special Team is an honor to me as a football player.
2. I am a member of a Special Team because of certain skills that I possess that others do not.
3. I know how vital my job is to overall team success.
4. It is imperative that I give a total physical, mental, and emotional effort to doing my job.
5. I will concentrate fully on my job. Nothing will cause med to ever lose my single mindedness of purpose in pursuit of Special Team excellence.
6. I will totally prepare myself for each Special Teams Assignments. I will know my responsibilities and study films to determine the best way to do my job.
7. I will always practice seriously. This is not a time to relax but a time to be totally involved physically, mentally, and emotionally.
8. I will know the rules for the kicking game and will never make a mental error in this phase of the game.
9. My "head will always be in the game" and I will always be alert to the situation on the field and what might develop. I will always be ready to go in should the situation require my special unit to take the field.
10. If injury or equipment problems arise I will immediately notify the Special Team coach.
11. If for any reason during the game I am removed from my offensive or defensive position I will remain on the special teams. Platoon substitutions do not carry over to Special Teams. Only the Special Teams coach will make Special Teams substitutions.
12. When entering the game I will notify the player whose place I am taking and tell him to leave the game. (if not notified he will remain in the game).
13. I will always read the Special Teams bulletin board each day.
