Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are planning on installing the midline this coming season. I have watched Coach Campbell's Installing the Midline tape about 20 times. Just want to make sure all my ducks are in a row. We are a pretty much an I formation team; 2 wides, 3 wides, sometimes a single flanker. We run a belly series as our base offense. Fullback in 1 or 2 hole, tailback in 5 or 6 and QB around the end.
We are looking at just using the jill scheme and the army and navy schemes. We would also run the midline opposite. Would not installing the base scheme hinder our offense. We really prefer not to make it a true triple option. We would prefer to get the ball to our tailback by running the jill scheme but instead of the TB going around the end, have him go through the C gap with the QB using him as the second back. The QB would fake around the end to hold the OLB. Would this work?
Should we start with the Jill scheme and use that as our base blocking rules? Do the linemen make all blocking adjustments on the line or do you tag all midlines like 10 midline jill?

Coach Olson make the Jill scheme your base scheme if using a tight end. The Army, Mike, etc would be a called pay with its own identity. Coach CAmpbell
