Thanks to Coach Campbell and Coach Lansdell for the opportunity to participate in this special forum. I know I've benefited a great deal from everyone's knowledge on this board and now it will be great to have the chance to discuss topics as they directly translate to coaching kids.
I guess I'd like to see how many of you are coaching at the youth or middle school levels out there and where do you coach?
I coach 10-12 year olds in the Crossroads Youth Football League in South Texas.

I started coaching at the youth level with 9 & 10 years old and I have been lucky enough to be able to follow the same group of kids through until this year. This will be our last year together, and I can tell you, I have learned so much from this kids. After this year my child moves up to high school and cause of the past 5 years I plan to move back down to the younger level and start all over again. I have taken on the job as coaching director for our league. This job will be another tool for me to learn with.
I'm really glad that I stumbled on to this site. I am an Asst. Coach for a parochial school 5th and 6th grade team in Central Texas. I'm eager to learn as much as possible about teaching the fundamentals to the kids more effectively and efficiently.
Hopefully, I'll be able to add some value from time to time as well.
