I would like to thank all you youth coaches that make our jobs easier as you prepare our young athletes to advance to the next level. A sincere thanks to Coach Hartman and the CYFL youth program for all that you do for our High School. Great Job Coach Hartman in Houston with the 7 on 7 game. Coach CAmpbell
To Coach Campbell and to all the other high school coaches out there like him, I say thanks for giving us as youth coaches the opportunity to be part of your programs. Your support of our efforts makes all the difference in the world to us as coaches, the kids' parents and the kids themselves. I really look forward to the weeks and months ahead as we continue to get ready for a great 2004 football season.
Thanks Coach Campbell and GO VIPERS!

"It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters."
It's great to see the cooperation between the high school and youth program in your area. This is the first year that our program has been able to build that same foundation. The help from our local HS has been fantastic. We will be running the wing-t again this year, and we also will be running the same defense our HS runs. They use the 3-3 defense, but we will play the spurs in 9 techs, and utilize it like a 5-3.
We are going through a difficult adjustment period because a few of our coaches do not like the wing-t offense, or the defense that we will be running. However, as a friend of mine said, this year will have more friction because this is the first year of change. It's nice to see though that our program will be running the wing-t from the flag football level, all the way through the high school level.
Any ideas on how to smooth the transition would be appreciated, as well as any advice from veteran youth wing-t coaches!
