Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I better admit that the reason I haven't been hurt by 4 verts in C3 is that we don't run it very much. I'd rather play man, and I definitely don't want to sit in C3 all game long. I think everyone can agree that having better players makes your scheme better.
Your absolutely right with your last sentence of your post! I'm always quoting Don Coryell when he said; " The world is full of good coaches, what we really need is more good players!" My favorite saying is: WE can put them in the right position to win the game, THEY have to go out and put their bodies on the line for 60 minutes! My best coaching achievement to date was the night we won our AFL Super Bowl title in 1994. I felt that I coached the best game I ever coached that night and at that point I had 30 years in coaching. But, I honestly felt that my contribution to the win was at best 20%. The guys who went out and laid it all on the line, held nothing back the entire night, and won the game on it's final play when the clock had expired halfway through the play, were the real winners, not me. Like they say: It's not the x and o's, it's the jimmy and joes! If you ever lose sight of that, your done for, imo!

J.C. EASTON
HEAD COACH
GA TIGERS FOOTBALL
PROFESSIONAL MINOR LEAGUE
Just like most coaches, started at the JR. High level and have coached Frosh, JV, Varsity. Eleven years ago had the opportunity to get involved with my present level as a HC. The following year I bought the Franchise and ran it and coached it with good success. I "retired" at the end of the 2003 season and sold out. I had a good Summer fishing and enjoying my family. A well established team in our league recently moved to the city in South Carolina where I reside. I called on the owner who is a good friend of mine and he told me he was having HC problems, and would I be interested in getting back in harness? As I was getting antsy after used to working 16-18 hour days, we negotiated a contract and I am now the new HC. Training 4 days a week, on field on Saturdays, holding scout combines, holding class room training, etc. I am loving every minute of it! The next time I will consider stopping is when they put me in a box!
