Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are changing the structure of our organization next year, and we will be having a 7-9 year old division for tackle football. We are trying to decide how many, and what plays to use for this age level. Any suggestions?
Coach, the Fellow Youth Coaches threads in this forum has some good suggestions. Tomahawg talks about a modified single wing, we had a team in our Pee-Wee division (8-12) year olds that ran what sounds like a similar offense and went undefeated and won the championship. They'd put a tailback 4 yards or so behind the center, with another back behind the guard and a double wings or move one wing out to flank. The tailback would get in a 3 pt stance, the center would snap it at his ankles, and they were off running off tackle, sweep, a reverse to one of the wings, or what looked like a sweep until the TB stopped and threw the ball to a guy who was often wide open. Very effective and simple.
Check with Tomahawg, I'd bet he has some good ideas.

thanks for the good words. If you want to know about the singlewing, we have one of the masters that also responded to that post.
Alot of what I did came from Coach Calande. He has forgotten more than I have ever learned about the single wing.
I know he offers a video on his offense, it is a must have if you want to learn that offense.
But, yes I believe the single wing works great for youth football.
At that age you really need to keep the number of plays under 15(I would prefer around 10). If you can keep the blocking asignments the same you might can get by with some more.
IMHO, at that age I would not pass. Unless your last name is Manning and you have a guy by the name of Rice on your team.
The list of plays in that thread is a good starting point.
