Football Down Under is a much the same but very different to my experiences in your world but never the less, we have a burning passion that matches you in every sense.
I have a question about an OT. He is 6'5" benches 150kgs (330lbs) with reps and I have taugh him to use his feet and move both ways. I have been toying with what best use I can get out of his skills as he is clearly head an shoulders above the rest not only in the team but is also a local All Star player. In my very humble opinion v's you guys I feel he would have done well and should have tried a year of JC to see just where he could end up.
I've been toying with two options however am open to any ideas you may have. We run a fairly simple offense with a 50/50 pass/run ratio. Maybe looking at zone blocking in the next couple of years but there really are only two guys smart enough at the moment as we have limited training time. Pinch, base and slide pass pro the main pass protection.
I have been toying with the idea of playing the gun OT to the wide side of the field EVERY PLAY instead of simply leaving him on the LHS.
Love to hear your thoughts and if there are any other options you may suggest - they will always be welcome.
Give me a holler for I have some ideas fro your OT.
