Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
When I coached the 44, I had my olb's read the emlos's block to near back. If TE blocked down, fill and spill; if TE reached block, filled rb's lane; if TE's released, dropped to flats (cover 3); etc, etc. It is something you rep and rep and rep till the last day of the year. And with every team you play, there will be some type of clue or tendency that you will work in your reps for that week. IE: vs zone teams- the oline attempt to keep their shoulders parallel to the los so this will help the olb decipher between a down block and zone away, if per sey he loses his rb read. Hope this helps.
