The first Professional football game takes place in Latrobe, Penn. on August 31 of this year. The Latrobe team, sponsored by the YMCA, hire a quarterback, John Braillier of Indiana Normal, for $10.00 and expenses and beats Jeanette, Pa. 12-0. Other members of the team are on some sort of a profit sharing basis - probably a split of a collection taken among spectators.
