Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am a 25 year old HC with 2 years experience. I coach in the smallest 11 man classification in the state. The state's winningest football program (3 classes bigger) is 12 miles north of me, and I have a few connections. They now have an opening in my subject area. I don't think I would want the job unless they offered a varsity position of some sort... but my question is "would it be better to move up and be an assistant or stay here and be the HC?" I love being a head coach, and my entire job here, but I'm curious as to what it would be like at this bigger, traditionally strong school. I better add that this is extremely hypothetical as I think it's not very likely they would offer me a varsity position. Has anybody been in a similar position?
The grass is not always greener somewhere else, but it may be worth checking it out by feeling them out and seeing what they have to offer you, before you make a hasty decision. Big schools are where it is at if your goals are defined as wanting to go on to bigger and better things. Also, know what kind of a record and reputation your new HC has, as that is very important if you want the next stop to be a real stepping stone. Just a suggestion, as always.
