A major problem of practicing is to cram as much teaching an game experience as possible into a limited amount of time. Keep the ball moving (repetition). If you are executing 20 repetitions correctly during a 10 minute drill, and your opponent is executing 10 during the smae length, then you are practicing twice as much, and should be at the advantage on gameday.
1. Establish and maintain a positive attitude and atmosphere toward the drill. 2. Use more reward technique than punishment techniques in the execution of a drill. 3. maintain an informal type of poise. Avoid showing discouragement at a player's poor performance. 4. Avoid nervous and irritating mannerisms. Adopt a mannerism that adds to your efficiency. 5. Be enthusiastic. 6. Display a sense of humor at the right times. 7. Make drill periods long enough for profitable learning but short enough to maintain interest and enthusiasm. 8. Do not get down on the group for an individual's behavior. Do not belittle the player in front of his teammates by sarcasm. 10. Create a healthy attitude for learning.
