In Illinois, we get 25 "contact" days from the end of school to July 30 that we can use for organized team activities. The last few years, we have used our days for a football camp, 7 on 7 tournaments, and a full-team, full-contact 3-day overnight camp at Illinois Weselyan University in Bloomington, Illinois.

We are only allowed to do strength and conditioning with our players until August 22nd. Then we are allowed three non-contact conditioning days, then 2 a days, etc. We can not do any football specific drills, practices, etc. with our players. We send them to camps, there are 7 on 7 passing leagues in our area that we are trying to get into. Weight room 3-4 days a weeks, is about it. If you run or work at a camp you can have your players there but you are not suppossed to have 50% of the player ratio of your own team at the camp. There must be other teams or players there as well as your own team, so it's not a team specific camp??? We have no spring practices either.
Between the end of school and the start of pads we must have a 3 week dead period in which players may only lift weights with a coach. The coach can not have any other contact. As for our summers week practice M-Th for 6 weeks from the end of school until the end of July. Frosh players show up at 2:30 and lift until 3:30 then hit the field working with Varsity coaches on skills until 4:30. Varsity skill players show up at 3:00 on the field to work on skills with Varsity coaches and everyone else is in the weightroom by 3:30. We lift until 5:15 then hit the field Mon, Tue for skill related practice with some team until 6:45. Wed we only run 7 on 7 and team. thursday is our passing league day. Every thursday we have 3 other schools come for Pass League. We lift each day and do running drills each day.
