let's hear some good reverse ideas

OUr best reverse is really not a reverse at all. It is like the orbit reverse a lot of teams run off inside zone action. However we run it off Iso action. The Qb reverses out holds the ball and gives the TB an empty hand to fake over then hands off to the flanker. It happens fast and we do not pull anyone. We also run a reverse off our toss action. I suspect it like like everyone else. The ball is tossed out to the TB who hands off to the flanker coming back behind him. We will also give a call "flash" which tells the TB to fake the reverse and keep the ball. I like to call them early in the game. I feel tricks are more effective if used before the other guy uses his. If you wait until late I think the D is more ready for them. First down is also good.

My favorite reverse comes off of speed option. Run speed to the right and have your SE come left. QB's pitch looks as if it is going to the TB but SE runs directly in between QB and TB and catches the pitch. This is a very effective play for a good option team.

The best reverse I have seen and used is off of the Gun Zone play to the #2 WR. The QB becomes a blocker. The PST takes a hard three steps to sell the zone, then busts out to catch any trouble in the flat area.
