Offense Most Aggressive with a Tight End in the Game When running any offense with two running backs, two wide receives, and a Tight End in the game makes the offense more flexible and puts it at its toughest position to defense. Whether from under center or from the gun our offense is flexible enough to provide that, and more.
I agree fully. We used to be primarily a 2 RB, 2 TE, 1 WR team, but we switched to 1 TE and we are much more difficult to defend, not to mention much more diversified. If you have a good "open side" run game, you can certainly cause defenses some problems. I think that formations like this, although easy to "draw up" schemes against, are actually tougher to defend in reality because of the balance of the offense and the diversified skills you face in personnel match-ups.
