Best Clinic Speaker You Have Ever Seen

Whew, that's a tough one, Lou...

I would have to say last year at the MegaClinic, I saw the o-line coach from Kentucky (can't remember his name). He was just awesome! Very knowledgeable, well prepared, great handouts, and some really good stories, too.

I'm looking forward to hearing Lovie Smith and Ron Zook Friday night down in Chambana at the Illinois High School Football Coaches' clinic.

I was looking at the Illini clinic and it is loaded with great speakers. I see Fox from Stockton is speaking as is Pappocia. If you happen to hear either of those guys I would be interested in your notes. Not that you would be going to Pappocia unless you guys were ditching the spread from the wishbone.

Actually, the guy I'm really looking forward to hearing is Dave Gannaway, the IHSA administrator for football. With this multiplier that has just been inacted, that should be a really fun hour! Apparently, a few schools, led by Providence Catholic, are considering a lawsuit against the IHSA. They are alleging that the multiplier is discriminatory against private schools.

The main reason we are going is because we have a kid playing for the Illini. He walked on last year, and it looks like he might get some money this year. Some of the coaches are talking about him playing on special teams this fall.

I'd have to say a tie........

Yeah even with the controversy. I mean there are other good men out there too but if my son (hypothetical) wanted to play for him it would be alright with me.

ANother guy who is a good speaker with lots of techinque stuff is George DeLeone. I heard him at Glazier a few year ago. You could not fall asleep in there that's for sure!

I'll second lochness on George Deleone. Saw him at San Angelo a couple years back and won't soon forget it. Of all the high school speakers, Jim Rackley of Judson High in TX is the best.
