AD on YOUR staff?

Tog, to answer your question about the AD on staff, we don't really have a problem with it. I was new to the school two years ago but when I was hired to teach at the school they were transitioning to a new HC. It turned out to be the AD for only one season so I was told that I would at least be given an interview for the HC job at the end of the season (I was passed over and not even allowed to interview at my previous school because of political reasons). We went 9-2 and lost in our divisions championship game. I had 4 years as an assistant HC on my resume, and 1 season as an HC of a semi-pro team to go with it. My AD and Principal sat me down in January and offered me the position, needless to say, I took it and ran out of the office before they could take the offer back! Back to your original question, my AD has been coaching football for 20 some odd years and is extremely helpful when it comes to assisting me. He defers to me when questions about the program arise. Sorry to ramble on so much but I think that it helps to explain the whole thing to get a better understanding of how fortunate a situation I landed in.
