This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Illinois has installed a multiplier to private schools, which is supposed to balance the supposed advantages that some private schools may have over the public schools (ie recruiting, etc.). What other STATES have something like this?
yes missouri has a multiplier. they just multiply. say you have a private school of 300 and you have a multiplier of 2.0. the priavte school of 300 now has 600 studnets even thought they really do not have 600 students. basiclly what you are saying is a private school kid is twice as better then a public school kid. since you have dobuled the priavte schools population you most likely have moved themup a division or so.
had the coach pushing the multiplier got all he wanted it would have meant moving every school up the the largest classifications. a school of 300 would play in the class AA boys basketball tourny vs public schools up to 7000 students.
airman is correct in the description of the Missouri multiplier. I might add that after the Missouri high school association enacted a multiplier, the number of private schools winning state championships actually INCREASED.
I guess that the Missouri multiplier should get jacked up to 3.0 now. How about 5.0? How about just saying that anytime a private school plays a public school, the public school gets spotted 3 TDs? How about saying that anytime a private school plays a public school, the public school automatically gets to win? Is that fair?
That's why the multiplier is such a bad idea. It is capricious, arbitrary, and, most glaringly, does not address the fundamental differences that exist between public and private educational institutions.
Punishing schools for success sends an awful message.
