50 Shade

I mean i am familiar with a base 5-2, but what is the 50 shade?

Why don't you just sit down and have a good session with the HC and ask him to explain the nuances of the 50 shade to you??? If you don't want to admit you don't know what he is talking about ( that's never a good plan!) explain to him that you want to know EXACTLY HOW HE WANTS IT RUN! WHAT DOES HE WANT EMPHASISED, so as to have his future players best prepared for the varsity level? Tell him that you want to do the best job possible for him and you want to make CERTIAN you are on the same page. That would be my suggestion, Coach. Best of luck in your new job.

Coach, Tiger One has nailed it on the head! Talk to your HC so that you can gain insight and the understanding of how to teach it "his" way. As a new HC I plan to sit down every year with all my staff so that issues such as the one you face can be discussed and resolved. I know that I run a hybrid 34/52 and I believe in my system. Therefore I want it taught in a particular order, manner, and progression. The HC should be happy to sit and answer any kind of questions you may have. It is the only way, in my eyes, that trust can be built within the staff and program.
