Help with the Dart Play

zone-t and dart are the essentially the same play, the only difference is what the psot is doing

on zone-t we are making a bad reach and getting inside position to just wash out the psde (this compliments our jets where we ask the ot's to reach

on the dart, we look at it as counter gt, with the psot replacing the bsg on the pull and kickout becuase we are just going to kick out the psde by showing pass, wash him upfield


we run both plays with either the back or the qb

when it is called to the back, we read the bsde, standard stuff

when it is called to the qb, the back takes the same initial shuffle over staying square steps and ride and then he goes and blocks the bsde ( we just tell him the read guy)

for both plays for both potential ballcarriers, the aiming point is the playside guard area, if it is cloudy or clear is what we tell them
if it is clear, hit it up in there, if there is any doubt, pick up the bsot pulling and press his heels just like iso

when the ballcarrier gets creamed in practice a few times, they will go with the puller more often then not, unless it is just totally clear.

For the read, there usually is not even an opportunity for the rb to get there before the puller does,,, for the qb runs on either play, it can hit a little quicker because the ride is just for looks and they tend to hurry on it,


we also run GT counter, the stuff in the backfield is the same for that as it is for dart and zone-t. same everything

That's why we like it. We also run jet stuff off of all three, into and away from the jet.
