Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Especially after watching that tape of Louisville Trinity, I am considering incorporating some Half-roll action as a changeup. How would you teach it? From what I've seen the rules are largely just BOB rules, and using the onside back to basically just plug leaks. Or would you simply use normal 5-step BOB and let the QB do it. Any ideas?

Coach you would built your protection of the BOB ptinciple, the only difference its a step over to a reach with uncovered linemen hinging back. The back would also step callside tracking the playside linebacker. If back comes uncovered he to can look back for any defender off the back edge. Coach CAmpbell
Thanks very much Coach. Do you or anyone else use this much? I know you like the sprint-out with the option for a QB pull up. Some of our coaches had mentioned using the half-roll before and I am thinking of incorporating it. Seems like we could use the same plays, just make a different protection call, or make the series different but the routes all the same. Good for things like curl/flat, strongside flood/Sail, and things of that nature?
